almost over

Here it is almost christmas and I have yet gotten into the spirit. I have been so busy at work and kids that I have not had time. Usually I start shopping the first of nov on our anniversary but money was tight this year so that didn't happen, So this sat I started. the only other things I had bought was on black friday so I had alot to do. I spent all day sat and sun shopping and I hope that I have finally finished. As for wrapping, I have done none of it. that is a job I am setting aside for christmas eve day, since that is my first day off to get it done. Guess I will be locked in the camper all day doing that. oh well maybe that will get me in the spirit. It seems it has come and gone so fast this year. Makes me sad because this is my favorite time of the year.
Dan, being the old man he is, bent over the other day and popped his back. he's been down in bed ever since. they say it is a slipped disc and he is having an MRI done today but I think I should go buy him a cane for christmas as a gag gift. funny i think. Poor guy hasn't got to enjoy this week at all.
Kids are all excited to be out of school for the break, and I myself am looking forward to my break as well. today can't end soon enough. Hopefully we don't all kill each other being home together for 10 days.
I didn't get cards out this year so May I say to you all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We love you all and hope that you have a wonderful holiday. look forward to seeing you all in the new year.

Surviving the holidays

So we made it through thanksgiving and it wasn't too bad. the kids thought they were going to starve to death since we didn't eat until 4 but they made up for it once we started. Each one of the kids helped me cook something and so it was nice to be able to work with them. All but D.J he had to work that day and didn't get home till 4. Then he was off again to be with Devanee. Her grandfather died that day so he spent the day with her family. I'm not to sure I like this sharing my family stuff. I am going to be in trouble one day I already know it. by Sat Dakota finally asked me if Thanksgiving was over because he was tired of eatting it. We had left overs, it was great!
We were up at 4 am the next day for black friday shopping. Every year I wonder why I go but we got some pretty good deals. We tried to go to Toys R Us at midnight but the line wrapped clear around the parking lot. We stood in line for a while and then finally gave up and went home.
now is the count down for christmas. It doesn't seem like christmas though. maybe because we have no snow or because I am just not ready for it to be here already but hopefully the spirit will hit me soon.
Looking forward to our trip to Moab next weekend. Maybe being around the family will make it feel more like the holidays. lets hope

celebrations

So this will come as a big surprise to some of you (not) for our anniversary we went to the movie and I let Dan pick what one we went to see and when you hear what it was you will think it was me but it was all Dan. We went and saw the Michael Jackson this is it movie. Imagine that me at a Michael Jackson movie. haha. It was actually good. It took me back to the good ole days. I just thought it ironic that of all movies I ended up at that one. I am sure you will all get a good laugh off that one. especially if you remember my teenage days. I was some what of a fan. We also went and saw a good man. it is a church movie and man did I feel for the guy. I would recomend it.
Wrestling is finally over for Dakota and we have a break between sports and I myself will enjoy the fact that I will get to come home from work and not have to run off somewhere again that night. He did enjoy wrestling though and he didn't do too bad. I was proud of him. He gave it his best and he is one tough little boy.
Thanksgiving this year will be sad for me. We are staying home this year so that we will be able to go to Moab in Dec. so I will be making thanksgiving dinner. a task I am not so excited for. Luckily I have recruited everyone into helping make something so it should be interesting. I will however miss being at mom's with everyone and nobody makes thanksgiving dinner better than she. it just won't be the same. My kids suggested just having sandwiches but I am determined to stick to the tradition and make the dinner as big of a pain as it will be I will do it. The kid are upset because we keep breaking traditions this year and this is just another one of those that we are breaking. hopefully next year we can get back on track.
So to those of you who are going to mom's for thanksgiving have a good time and just because I am not there does not mean you can talk about me!!

17 and counting

So this saturday is Dan and my 17 year anniversary. Where did the time go? I can hardly believe it has been that long. I look back at the pictures and man Dalen and Ryan were young. So here we are now 17 years, 6 kids, 1 house, multiple animals and alot of ups and downs and I don't think I would change any of it if it meant I would have to give up something I have now. Don't get me wrong there were some hard times and some wonderful times and luckily they either balance themselves out our there were more wonderful than bad but I wouldn't give up any of it.

I hear of all these new babies coming and I am so excited for them and at the same time so glad that it isn't me anymore. Teenagers are difficult but man it is so nice to be able to sleep all night. and the crying is very limited. But don't forget I still love those new babies and I would love to hold and love them whenever I am allowed.

Since I have no real little ones I don't have alot of new and exciting first to tell about except for D.J got asked to Sadie Hawkins. His first dance. sad it had to be one she had to do the asking for but a dance none the less. a first yea. Dakota had his first wrestling match and he won the first two and lost the second two. so we are two and two so far. that is all my firsts for now.

I will survive

So Nikieshia will be 13 next week and I can hardly believe that she is that old already. She tried out for the Rocky Mountain Panthers dance team last weekend and she made it. She is so excited except for the 6 am practices and having to go to school on those days with her hair messed up. She is also not an early morning person like her mother. Luckily her dad is and can get her up and going early on those days. Thank goodness for dad.
As for an update on the dogs. We had one survive. Char she is a golden retrieve/border collie mix so she is black not golden. We did end up having to take her to the vet to get shots and medication but she pulled through. I wish I could have afforded to be able to do that for all the dogs but Heavenly Father didn't burden me with having too much money so sadly that didn't happen.
Braxton scored 3 touchdowns at his last football game Sat. it is the first and only game that they won but it was so exciting to watch him score like that. He should be proud of himself. I know I am. We now just have a play off game and he will be done for the season. kinda sad.
So it's been a lovely day at work today we had a case of the swine flu and pink eye. I have been sending notes home like crazy today I better not get either one or watch out...

Dedications

This blog is dedicated to our lovable family pets who have past on this week. So this is mainly for our family because it has been such a hard emotional week. Let me explain what has happened.
We have 5 adorable puppies 6 months and younger we got them all this summer for the kids. First we got Gracie who Alex and Nikieshia share. then we got Oso who is Dj's (he was supposed to be this mean agressive dog who turned out to be the most playful loving thing) Then came Char, Alex and Nikieshia's also the most loving creature. Then we got the twins Tucker, who is Tristen and Dakota's and Bailey who is Braxtons, cute little bear and Fox.
This week Bailey started acting sick and we came to the conclusion that is was Parvo. Friday night she laid next to Braxton and when morning came we had lost her. The next day Tucker started showing the same symptoms we had hoped it was because he missed his sister but after a long fight for survival DJ found him in the hall at lunch yesterday. He lost the fight. We had hoped that was going to be it, but when we arrived home from work yesterday we found Oso laying down and showing the horrible symtoms as well. His battle was short. He died last night night in the arms of D.J. and Devanee with Gracie by his side. Gracie let out a howl and just as she did Oso breathed his last breath.
We are left with Gracie and Char who will not eat and so we are assuming the worst for these wonderful dogs as well, but have our fingers crossed at the same time. Alex is doing all he can to prevent the same thing from happening again but only time will tell.
To my kids; I know this is a sad week but we will get through it and time will help with the pain. your dogs loved you and you loved them and that is all we can ask for in this life. They will be missed by us all. So here is to you Bailey, Tucker and Oso. thanks for making our lives a little brighter because you were part of our family for a short time.

And we're off

So school has started for the kids. D.J and Alex are going to Bonneville High school and we hope they will do well this year. Nikieshia is in Middle School and loves it better than grade school. Braxton, Tristen and Dakota are all in elementary school and like their teacher which is a good sign of things to come.

Alex is playing football for Bonneville and Braxton is playing Grid kid. they are both loving it. It definately keeps us busy between practices and games. Seems like there is always somewhere to go and be. Keeps us all out of trouble I guess.

I have gone back to work and spent a week in training for the year and am already ready for a break. The first part of the year is one of the busyiest and hardest so I am feeling a bit overwhelmed. But love being busy.

Dan is busy at work and it is right up his alley. He is so picky about things being clean it is good for him to go somewhere else besides home to get his cleaning out.

Can't hardly believe that summer is over and it will soon be getting cold and snowy again. Seems like it just got warm here, and it is almost over. Time goes by too fast sometimes, I can hardly keep up.

coming to an end

Summer is begining to come to an end and yet we haven't slowed down yet. I just got back from my 20 year class reunion in Moab and it was alot of fun. some of those people got old I just wasn't one of them. It was kind of funny that most of them didn't recignize me I had to tell them who i was and then they had their ah ha moment. apparantly nothing exciting happens in moab still so we took a picture of the class for the newspaper. We had our dinner out at red cliffs lodge for those of you like me who didn't know where that was it used to be white's ranch out the river road. it was alot of fun. We took Tristen, Dakota and Nikieshia with us who were bored out of their mind at least kieshia was they had games for the kids which the little boys loved and we stayed at a motel and the kids lived in the pool when they got the chance.

Alex and Nikieshia just got back from a pioneer trek with the stake and you would have thought they were being punished for something as much as they said how hard it was but I think they had a good time. Alex was nick named superman by his family for doing most of the pusing of the handcart they were both greatful to be home

Nikieshia is off at girls camp this week with D.J's girlfriend Devanee's stake. We were at the grand canyon when our stake went so Devanee invited her to go with hers. I don't recall ever getting to float the river when we went to girls camp. that is what they are doing. sounds like fun.

Braxton started football yesterday and Alex is going to play for the high school this year and he starts next week. going to have sore boys for the next little while.

school starts for them in 3 weeks and I think they are all ready to go back. I think I am too i start in 4 weeks. ready to get back to work and on a schedule but not ready to get up early in the morning.

happy 4th hosts

We spent the 4th of july being host of our own outdoor barbeque. First of all we started out at the parade which we had to park and walk to. it was pretty good. the little boys had a blast running out and picking up candy in the street. Tristen even got a t-shirt thrown to him. he later tried to sell it to his dad after he stained the front of it. silly boy. We then went home and the work started. Devanee and her mom and little brothers, Dan's parents and our neighbors came over for a barbeque. And for those of you who know Dan he takes all the fun out of throwing a party. We had to clean for two days getting ready for this. We shampooed carpets deep cleaned the whole house of which no one went into seeing as how we sat outside. not to mention we had to deep clean the yard. but we all survived and had a great time entertaining and everyone even stayed quite a while and visited with each other they didn't leave till 6 that evening. after all the kids had left to go find a spot for the fire works. our usual spot wasn't going to be good enough this year.(these older kids just kind of start taking over your lives after a while) haha. Then is was clean up time. feed the dogs and sit down for about 30 min before it was time to go off to the fireworks to get a place to park. The kids picked the busiest place on the river to go but it was awesome to have the fireworks right above your head. they were amazing so worth it. the crappy part was trying to get home in all the traffic but Dan did great. We then went home and se off fireworks at the house and Devanee and her family came over again to help us do this. So all in all it was a busy but fun day. Not quite as peaceful as those lucky people who got to go to the cabin but I am looking forward to that being me this weekend and getting to see you all there. travel safely and I will see you in a few days.

home at last

so we made it home from our vacation and we had a great time. We left the baby blessing and went to mom's for the night then off to SLC. We stayed at the KOA and the kids went swimming and then we hit temple square and this is the place monument. The kids actually like the monument, I was surprised. We also went to dinner at Carl's Jr first time for most of it and it was pretty good. We went at DJ's request. If you were to ask me my favorite part of the trip I would have to say spending the time with my family. We laughed so hard till I cried and I was driving. scary especially since we were driving through zion's in the dark at the time. but all in all it was a great time. Now we will get ready for our next trip to the family reunion after the 4th. We still need to get our talent polished off or started in other words. We know what we are doing we just have to do it when we are all home without a million other people here to watch. Can't wait to see the family again.

look out parks here come the combes

So we are out on our vacation still but wanted to update you all on the fun we are having. We spent the first day at mom's and she made Dakota a twinkie cake for his b-day. cute. the next day we headed down south and stayed in an rv park in Glendale and went to Cedar for the night. We took the long way home and ended up going through zions in the Dark. DJ loved the tunnel which was pretty cool especially since we didn't get to see anything else in the park due to the dark. The next day we headed to the grand canyon. We first stopped in the North rim and hiked to the look out, got back in the car and headed to the south rim. a long way to drive in one day. We camped in the south rim that night and headed out to explore the next day. It was pretty cool but reminded me alot of canyonlands. We rode the bus and took the scenic route We had a good time. We headed back to Glendale that night and got up and went to Bryce canyon on Saturday. Beautiful. I haved never seen anything like that before. Tomorrow we are off to Cedar to a baby blessing and back to moms before we go to salt lake on monday and home on tuesday. I have never had a week go by so fast in my life. But so worth it. We made alot of memories and took alot of pictures and had an adventure we will never forget.

in two directions

So let me tell you all about our fun memorial day. It was great we went camping and took the camper which was so much nicer than sleeping in a tent. We also took the 4 wheeler and set out for a great weekend of camping, which broke down the second day. the first day went off without a hitch and we had a great time. the second day, poor Dakota he always get hurt camping, He put his bare feet in what he though was dirt turns out the boys had dug out the fire pit and put it next to the pit. Well it still had some hot coals in it and burnt Dakota's feet. luckily we were camped next to a creek so he kept his feet in the water. We tried to go off and explore but had to stop at the river frequently to put Dakota's feet in the water to ease the pain. He said " I thought this was going to be a fun camping trip" poor guy. His feet blistered and look pretty sad to this day still. The next day was spent getting ready to go home. We decided if we went home early we would beat the rush of emptying the trailer and the kids were done and were ruining the fun of camping we we packed up and left early. Well as we pulled out of the camp stop we heard something dragging. it was the sway bar it had fallen off. we figure that was the most exciting thing that would happen so off we went. As we were driving down the highway 65 mph we heard this horrible noise like a flat tire. that I can handle. wrong next thing we know the front suburban tire flew off and we were going in two different directions the tire flew across the highway barely missing a jeep driving the opposite way and then as we finally come to a stop an abrupt tip. we were sitting on the inside of the wheel. luckily nobody was hurt it could have been alot worse. we figured we would just get the tire put it back on and be on our way. Nope it stipped the lug bolts and ovaled out the rim of the tire. there we sat. 9 of us because we had Alex's friend with us. We called insurance but of course our policy doesn't cover towing. so we called a man in the ward who owns a towing company and he set out to get us. in the mean time Alex's friend called his dad and he came and took most of us home except Dan and braxton. Dj and I headed back up to sit with dan and drive him home when the tow truck showed up. well 2 hours later he shows up, loads the truck and goes to hook up the trailer. nope the ball didn't fit his hitch so he had to have the owner bring out a different ball in order to tow the trailer home. 45 min later we were on our way. I guess this makes up for us having a quiet mothers day. usually this kind of thing happens then. We have decided that if it had not been for having the trailer on we probably would have flipped resulting in an injury I am sure. So now we are a little nervous about taking the trailer on our trip. We will definatly check the tires to make sure they are on tight. We head out on the 9th of june and can't wait.
So a quick update. after a couple of tries DJ has passed his drivers test and now has a legal license. he has been driving one day and has already got lost and had to call for directions. should prove interesting.

sprucing things up a bit

So last weekend I pulled a fast one on my kids and put them all to work. We have this big flower bed in front of my house and last summer Dan and the kids took some of the dirt out of it and it has been just sitting there ever since. just this big thing of dirt with one rose bush on the side. So I decided to landscape it and last saturday was the lucky day. I made each of my kid dig a hole to plant a red bush and one more rose bush. So now we have 5 red bushes and 2 rosebushed and then put red mulch on it. It looks so good I couldn't stop bragging about it all weekend. DJ's girlfriend keeps teasing me on the way to chuch about how nice that house on the street looked with the flower garden. People can be so mean. I will have to get a picture taken and put on so you can see it. as soon as the wind stops and it is warm enough to stand outside.
Nikieshia had her 6th grade track meet this week. Dan and I went and watched it was so fun. She ran the 100 and the 4x100 and the football throw. she did great. who knew she could run. I can't remember seeing her do that voluntarily before haha.
I told you before that football was over, well it's not the boys made the play offs so we are still doing football they tell me the championship game is next week if they win this weekend. I am not sure wether or not to hope they make it or be glad if they loose. I am torn.
DJ is working on getting his drivers license. He just barely failed the written by one question earlier this week so we are going to try it again today. keep your fingers crossed for him. then all that is left is the driving portion. GO DJ!
Alex has been parked on my couch since basketball playoffs started. He is a huge Lakers fan and Braxton has been joining him since he is a Celtics fan. they sit and dis on each others teams and player. I'll be glad when the playoffs are done so I can have my TV back.
That seems to be all that is happening this week. only one more week of school then I am out for summer yea! I can't wait till our vacation I am so excited if you hadn't already guessed. so until next time...

boys are just no fun sometimes

So last Sat was D.J's 16th b-day and I was so excited for him. you know sweet 16 big milestone right. Well he was an old fuddy duddy about it. He showed no excitement about it at all. The most excitement I got was when Devanee came over to spend the day with him. I even got him a nice present thinking he would be excited about that, well all he said was nice, thanks. What is it with boys they are so not emotionally excited as I think they need to be. Maybe it is just a teenage thing. But when it comes to football or basketball Alex and Braxton can show some excitement, why can't it be when I want it? Can football and basketball be that much more exciting than I am. can't be that, it must be something else. I just need to figure it out. We are one weekend away from having our saturdays back. Flag football games will end this weekend for us and as much as I enjoy watching them play I will so enjoy sleeping in on sat mornings again and staying home for the day. I know that sounds so boring and my kids hate it when I am home all the time but when your gone to work all week for what can seem like all day it is nice to just relax and stay home on the weekends.

Only 21 more days till my school is out and 23 more days till I am on break. sleeping in here I come and getting my garden planted. I didn't plant one last year and I missed it. I am also excited to put in the flower garden in my front yard and hopefully get my bathroom redone this summer along with our trips. turning out to look like a busy summer but right now I can't wait!!!

spring has sprung

I ventured out of my office today to see the sun shinning. I was so excited since it was snowing earlier this week. I have my fingers crossed that springs has finally arrived and it will stay for more than a few days.
Easter was pretty nice here. We went to a football game came home and barbequed and sat out on the swing and enjoyed the afternoon before the clouds rolled in and we were off to another football game. The kids got clothes for easter as to which none of them were very happy about except Nikieshia and I think she wishes she could have picked them out herself but luckily Kohls was having a sale that day and we had a good time there.
We are counting down until school is out and we are off to play for the summer. if you ask me it can't come soon enough.
We got our family reunion assignments last week and I am wondering where Jay comes up with these things? I have never heard of what we are assigned to it could prove to be an interesting program if everyone elses assignments are like mine. Teenagers are not alot of fun to get involved in interesting things like this, so we shall see.

back to the ole routine

So spring break came and went with wind, rain, and snow. The sun did try to peak it's head in once in a while but for the most part I am glad that easter is in april this year. Sadly we will be celebrating easter at home this year. All my boys are playing arena football and have games the saturday we celebrate easter. I debated on whether or not for Nikieshia and I to drive to mom's by ourselves but then decided that we needed to stay together as a family for this holiday. so we will spend the day watching football games instead of picnicing in the wind. makes me sad since that has been our tradition for so long.
Dan and Alex's friends dad are coaching the three older boys in football and it is the first time for both of them so it could prove to be a fun spectator sport for me and kieshia. I am proud of him for getting out there and doing it though. Plus it is a good bonding moment for him and the boys. funny i am sure but good. So for those of you going to mom's for easter have fun and think of me here in idaho where I am sure that we will probably seen wind, rain, and snow.

spring break yahoo

So the sun is starting to shine and the snow is slowing fading away and the mud is trying to dry up thanks to the wind that always blows in idaho. Next week is my spring break and sadly though I don't get to enjoy it with my kids I will however be enjoying my time off from work. Don't know what I will be doing but I know that I will enjoy it hopefully everyone and everything else cooporates with my plan. So D.J has discovered girls and now has a girl friend. a really nice LDS girl, who drives him to school most days and spends the weekends at my house. (That is okay because I can keep an eye on them) I think he is content to not go get his license because Devanee drives him everywhere and he is okay with that. Sadly we don't see him much because when he is home he is in his room on the phone with her. When she is over they sit on the couch and tease each other unmercily, so his interactions with us have dwindled. Now if he would get his grades up I won't have to interupt this puppy love and Devanee can keep hanging out with us. it is nice to have another girl in the house giving the boys some grief for a change. I think I might be okay with this other woman in my boy's lives. as long as it is nothing serious for a long time and I get to stay number one on their list of girls.
Yesterday i spent the day at a funeral for our former Head Start director and her nieces sang a song that was called "can you hear me talking to you" made me realize I need to let the people I love know it before they are gone or I am gone. so to all of you out there who read my blog know that I love you all. You are all amazing people and I am so grateful to have you in my life and a part of my family whether you are related to us or not. On that note just know I will be thinking of you working next week while I am home watching soaps and eatting bon bons.

where is the sunshine

Okay I am officially ready for winter to be over and for spring to be here. However it has been warmer which can be a good thing except for the fact that it warmed up so fast that it all flooded my basement. I guess I should be careful for what I wish for. for those of you who have never seen water coming out of a wall be grateful. Luckily I was at work and Dan and Tristen wonderful guys that they are had it all cleaned up before I got home.
I have decided that if it can't be summer break yet I will settle for spring break. especially since my kids don't get the same break as me so I will actually get a break. Not so much for Dan he gets to deal with the kids on their spring break. but with work being as stressful as it has been this week I am definately ready for that break.
I do have a simple or not so simple question for you all... How do you make a child realize that school is important and getting through it is just something you have to do? It seems some of my kids haven't hit that realization, or don't want to. I heard slamming their head against a wall doesn't work and can just get you in trouble, so short of that I am open to suggestions.

off and ready to go

So I told you earlier about our trip to the grand canyon this summer. well it just got more exciting. We are not going to be staying in a hotel not even once on this trip and I will tell you why. We just bought a travel trailer. So we will be taking this along with us for our lodging. We are so excited, at least Dan and I are, the kids not so much but hopefully this will save us money and we can stop and sleep anytime anywhere. Now we get to actually camp in the park and spend more time exploring. this is actually turning into a real vacation. this may not seem like much to most of you but for us it is like christmas again. I am so tired of camping in a tent that I can't wait to actually camp this summer unless I am at the cabin of course. The tent life is definitely not for me I am more of a bed kinda person I have decided especially after our last camping trip last year. just imagine a bed a heater and comfort especially if it rains or snows in our case. so look out grand canyon here we come at least sometime in June anyway.

fun weekend

This past weekend was so much fun. it was great to see everyone and was wonderful to go somewhere where they had no snow. I loved seeing the grass even if it was brown. anything is better than white for a change. the baptism went great. Tristen swore he was sooo embarassed to have all those people there watching him. and the fact that the water was cold didn't help. apparantly the water heater wasn't working so the water was kinda cold. Poor dad and tristen. At least they will remember this experience. Brennan did a wonderful job on his talk sunday. I loved hearing him pray in french. it was amazing. Sadly our drive home wasn't as fun as the rest of the weekend. it snowed most of the way and was hard to see the road so we drove slowly and it took us a little while but we made it safely. now we are back to reality and the regular schedule of our life. Here are a couple of pictures of our fun weekend.

looking to summer

So we are so tired of winter up here in idaho that we are already planning our summer vacation. We are going to try and go to the grand canyon and to zions and bryce canyon in June. None of us have been to the grand canyon so we thought it would be fun since I have the summer off to take a real vacation. We haven't had one of those before with all of us so it will be fun. The kids are even excited about going which surprised me but hopefully it will stay that way. So hurry up summer I am ready for you.
We are officially on for Feb 7 for Tristen's baptism. He is excited and so are we all to get to go down to mom and dad's. it will be a fun weekend and a special one for Tristen and plus Brennan's homecoming is that week so it will be double special.
Only one concern for the moment and that would be where is Talisha? I heard she left home and nobody knows where she is and if she is okay. I couldn't imagine feeling so bad that you couldn't go home. I hope she know that there is nothing so bad that you can go home and face with your family. so if Your out there Talisha, come home and let us help you we love you.

Baptism news

Yes, now that we know when Brennan is coming home we can finally set a date for Tristen's baptism. He keeps asking when it is going to happen and finally we can tell him. I believe, not 100% sure because it depends on Carri's ward ya know, but hopefully it will be on Feb. 7. We are trying something new this time. We will be baptizing him in Huntington so then we can just drive down to Moab the next day for Brennan's homecoming. So everyone is invited to come to both, hope that is okay that I said that Carri. We are all looking forward to a trip down south to see everyone, all of us except Braxton. we will be spending the day traveling down on his b-day. He isn't too happy about Tristen getting all the attention when it is his time of the year, but somehow I am sure he will be sure to get the attention and make sure that we make this up to him. He is however happy to be able to get to go to grandma and grandpa's and see everyone just like the rest of us are. So not to take away from Carri's excitement of Brennan coming home and his homecoming we just have something more to celebrate together.

whew complete

So over the christmas break Dan and the kids worked really hard on fixing up some rooms in our house and as of yesterday they are done!!!! We are so excited to have new paint and new carpet in Nikieshia's room and D.J's room they look totally awesome. We also spent the weekend deep cleaning Tristen and Dakota's room some how everything in the basement got thrown in there and it was NASTY So we took the rest of the weekend to clean it up and ended up moving Braxton in with them so they got a new bunk bed which is really nice. Maybe now they will sleep in their room instead of everywhere else. We also got new curtains for the kitchen and the bedrooms my house is starting to come back together after having been pulled apart for quite a while. Nikieshia has gone with no carpet since sept. so it is great to see a clean nice room that you aren't afraid to walk into. That is the celebration at our house. to give you an idea of how junky they were we hauled away two trailer loads of garbage. man if feels so much lighter.
