happy 4th hosts

We spent the 4th of july being host of our own outdoor barbeque. First of all we started out at the parade which we had to park and walk to. it was pretty good. the little boys had a blast running out and picking up candy in the street. Tristen even got a t-shirt thrown to him. he later tried to sell it to his dad after he stained the front of it. silly boy. We then went home and the work started. Devanee and her mom and little brothers, Dan's parents and our neighbors came over for a barbeque. And for those of you who know Dan he takes all the fun out of throwing a party. We had to clean for two days getting ready for this. We shampooed carpets deep cleaned the whole house of which no one went into seeing as how we sat outside. not to mention we had to deep clean the yard. but we all survived and had a great time entertaining and everyone even stayed quite a while and visited with each other they didn't leave till 6 that evening. after all the kids had left to go find a spot for the fire works. our usual spot wasn't going to be good enough this year.(these older kids just kind of start taking over your lives after a while) haha. Then is was clean up time. feed the dogs and sit down for about 30 min before it was time to go off to the fireworks to get a place to park. The kids picked the busiest place on the river to go but it was awesome to have the fireworks right above your head. they were amazing so worth it. the crappy part was trying to get home in all the traffic but Dan did great. We then went home and se off fireworks at the house and Devanee and her family came over again to help us do this. So all in all it was a busy but fun day. Not quite as peaceful as those lucky people who got to go to the cabin but I am looking forward to that being me this weekend and getting to see you all there. travel safely and I will see you in a few days.
