Surviving the holidays

So we made it through thanksgiving and it wasn't too bad. the kids thought they were going to starve to death since we didn't eat until 4 but they made up for it once we started. Each one of the kids helped me cook something and so it was nice to be able to work with them. All but D.J he had to work that day and didn't get home till 4. Then he was off again to be with Devanee. Her grandfather died that day so he spent the day with her family. I'm not to sure I like this sharing my family stuff. I am going to be in trouble one day I already know it. by Sat Dakota finally asked me if Thanksgiving was over because he was tired of eatting it. We had left overs, it was great!
We were up at 4 am the next day for black friday shopping. Every year I wonder why I go but we got some pretty good deals. We tried to go to Toys R Us at midnight but the line wrapped clear around the parking lot. We stood in line for a while and then finally gave up and went home.
now is the count down for christmas. It doesn't seem like christmas though. maybe because we have no snow or because I am just not ready for it to be here already but hopefully the spirit will hit me soon.
Looking forward to our trip to Moab next weekend. Maybe being around the family will make it feel more like the holidays. lets hope

Get your tree up and your decorations put out. It will do wonders for your Christmas spirit!
